I Will Remember You

“God gave us memory so that we might have roses in December.” ~James Matthew Barrie

We were enclosed O eternal Father within the garden of your bosom. You drew us out of your holy mind like a flower petalled with our soul's three powers,...You gave us memory so that we might be able to hold your blessings and so bring forth the flower of glory to your name. You gave us understanding to understand your truth and your will - your will that wants only that we be made holy - so that we might bear first the flower of glory and then the fruit of virtue. And you gave us your will so that we might be able to love what our understanding has seen and what our memory has held. For this, we praise and thank You.

Jesus, remember me when you come into Your Kingdom.

Being an artist means: not numbering and counting, but ripening like a tree, which doesn't force its sap, and stands confidently in the storms of spring, not afraid that afterwards summer may not come. ~ Rainer Maria Rilke

Waiting....

"God's coming cannot be forced or coerced. It comes only as a gift. And as a gift, we must wait for the giver. But this waiting itself, even if painful and characterized by a felt absence, is the reception of God's gift of God's-self." Wilson Ryland

I deleted my old posts, and want to start fresh with my blog for the New Year. I think instead of blogging my thoughts, I move more towards a more quiet poetic approach and post my poetry with my art.
